SuperCal Petunias outlast typical petunias and will likely overwinter if they make it through the summer.

SuperCal can take a light frost of about 30˚F, as long as the daytime temperatures warm up above freezing. We recommend waiting until the threat of frost is over before planting, or put them into a pot or basket that can be moved indoors if needed.

4-5, 1-quart pots should fill a 14" hanging basket, keeping in mind that these plants will grow and fill in any open spaces.

Please check with your local Lowe’s, Walmart or Home Depot for SuperCal plants. You may also check with your local independent garden center, as they may carry them, or can order them in for you.

SuperCal petunias are annuals. Typically, an annual is a plant that does not live from year to year; but, if you live in a mild climate, there are steps you can take that may help your SuperCal survive until the next Spring:

Bring the plants inside, if possible. If you can uproot them carefully and place them in pots and containers, that would be best. Trim them back and place the pots next to windows that get a lot of sun. If you cannot remove them from the ground, trim them back and cover them with a tarp during the night until the sun is out and they can get some warmth.
